Description
Doing Goods casts the Spirit series in India in 100% recycled brass under fair production conditions. The horse is intricately modelled with mane, muscles and head line — the warm, golden surface develops a living patina over the years. The horse knob belongs to a family of animal motifs, where right- and left-facing versions can be mixed on the same dresser for rhythm and narrative.

Care and Maintenance
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive and acidic cleaners — brass patinates naturally over time and can be polished with brass polish if you prefer the shiny finish.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a right-facing and a left-facing horse knob?
The two versions mirror each other — the right-facing horse looks to the right, the left-facing one to the left. Many people combine them on the same dresser or cabinet to create a symmetrical or riding formation across multiple drawers.
How do you care for brass cabinet knobs?
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners. Recycled brass patinates naturally and darkens over time. To keep the shiny golden finish, polish with a brass cleaner a couple of times a year.
Do Doing Goods knobs fit IKEA cabinets?
Yes, the Spirit knobs are mounted with a screw through the cabinet door or drawer front and fit standard holes on most furniture — including IKEA Malm, Hemnes and kitchen fronts. Simply replace the existing knob.
Is the Doing Goods Spirit horse knob a good christening or children's gift?
Yes, the horse knob is a popular christening or birthday gift for the nursery — especially for horse-loving children. It can be fitted to the dresser or wardrobe and will stay with the child for many years thanks to the durability of brass.
Can the brass knob be used as a wall hook for jewellery?
Yes. Drill a hole in the wall, screw the knob in place, and hang necklaces, bracelets or light keyrings on the horse’s neck. It works perfectly as a decorative hook for light items by the bed or dressing table.
