Description

Designed by the Dutch brand Kersten and made from stoneware with a distinctive bottle silhouette. The matte pink surface catches the light without glaring, and the stoneware gives the vase a solid weight that keeps it in place even with heavy branches. A colourful object that references the aesthetics of the bar, yet belongs on the windowsill or the shelf.

Care and FAQShow less

Care and maintenance

Wipe with a damp cloth. For a more thorough cleaning, rinse the vase gently with lukewarm water — avoid harsh cleaning agents that can affect the matte surface.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between stoneware and ceramic?

Stoneware is a type of ceramic fired at a very high temperature (around 1200°C). This makes the material denser, harder and more durable than ordinary earthenware ceramics, and it holds water even without an interior glaze.

Can you use the Pink Gin vase for fresh flowers with water?

Yes. The stoneware is dense and holds water, so the vase is suitable for both fresh flowers in water and dried branches without water. The narrow opening is best suited to individual stems or small bouquets.

How do you clean a matte stoneware vase on the inside?

Rinse with lukewarm water and a little mild detergent. For limescale deposits, a soft bottle brush can be used. Avoid scouring pads and acidic cleaning agents that can scratch or discolour the matte surface.

Is the Pink Gin vase a good hostess gift?

Yes, it works well as a hostess gift or housewarming present. The sculptural gin-bottle shape means it looks great even without flowers, and the pink colour suits both modern and more classic homes.

Which flowers suit a tall, narrow 21.5 cm vase?

Single stems such as peonies, tulips, rose sprigs or sunflowers look lovely. Dried branches such as eucalyptus, lagurus or cotton stems also work well in the narrow opening.
