BrandEJA

EJA designs colourful glass objects with a focus on relief and soft tones. The glass is cast in a gentle, sunny yellow with a pattern that catches the light along the sides, while the lid keeps dust away from the contents. The bonbonnère draws on the nostalgic tabletop glass tradition — a small piece of coloured glass with function under the lid.

Clean with a damp cloth or wash gently by hand in mild soapy water. Dishwasher not recommended, to preserve the finish and pattern of the glass.

Care and FAQ Show less
What is a bonbonnère?
A bonbonnère is a small lidded vessel, originally used to serve bonbons and confectionery. Today it is just as often used as decorative storage for small items on a table, sideboard or bathroom shelf.
What is the difference between a bonbonnère and an ordinary glass jar?
A bonbonnère always has a lid and is typically smaller and more decorative than an ordinary storage jar. The shape is often rounder and more ornate, because it is intended as table decoration — not purely functional kitchen storage.
Is the EJA bonbonnère a good hostess gift?
Yes, the light yellow glass bonbonnère works well as a hostess gift or housewarming present. It is compact, decorative and ready to use from day one — fill it with liquorice or chocolates before handing it over.
Is the EJA bonbonnère dishwasher safe?
No, hand washing is recommended. The heat and detergents in a dishwasher can wear down the glass finish and the relief pattern over time. A damp cloth or mild soapy water by hand preserves the look best.
What can you store in a bonbonnère?
Classic sweets and confectionery, but also jewellery, rings, hair ties, cotton pads, buttons, coins or other small items you want within reach without leaving them lying out in the open.

Handmade & unique product

Most of my products are handmade or hand-painted. This means that there may be variations in color, finish, and minor imperfections. These variations are a natural part of the handmade look and make each product unique. Minor differences are therefore not considered defects.
