Description
Made in Italy from faience — a porous clay covered with a tin glaze that has defined Italian ceramics since the Renaissance. Each lemon motif is painted by hand, so the yellow tones and contours vary naturally from platter to platter. The lemon is the signature of the Amalfi Coast, and the motif brings that Mediterranean tradition straight to the table setting — between craftsmanship and everyday life.

Hand washing is recommended to preserve colours and glaze. Suitable for both cold and warm dishes, but not for the oven or microwave.

What is the difference between faience and stoneware?
Faience is made from porous clay covered with an opaque tin glaze, which gives it the characteristic white base and vivid colours. Stoneware is fired at higher temperatures and is denser and more robust. Faience is the classic Italian ceramic tradition, used for precisely this type of hand-painted motif.
Is the lemon platter dishwasher safe?
Hand washing is recommended to protect both the glaze and the hand-painted colours. Over time, the heat and salt of the dishwasher can dull the motif and wear down the finish.
