The cup is handmade and has no handle, so it's held around the body like a Japanese teacup. The surface is slightly uneven, and the glaze is cream white with a single line of black text. At 200 ml it's smaller than the series' cappuccino cups and suits a short, strong coffee. It stacks neatly with the other text cups.

The cup is dishwasher safe. To preserve the hand-painted decoration for as long as possible, hand washing in lukewarm water without a scouring pad is recommended.
