Imogen is thrown in stoneware and dipped in a reactive glaze, where the pigments shift during firing and create a play of colour no one can copy. The surface alternates between dove-blue grey and deep violet patches, often with a darker edge at the rim. A lively, earthy cup in the Nordic ceramic tradition – sturdy enough for everyday use, characterful enough to stand out.

What is reactive glaze, and why does every cup look different?
Reactive glaze contains pigments that react unpredictably during firing in the kiln. This means colour transitions, patches and tones shift from cup to cup. No Imogen cup is therefore alike – the variations are part of the design, not a flaw.
Is the Imogen cup dishwasher and microwave safe?
Yes. The cup is oven safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe. It is also food safe and ready for daily use from day one.
What is the difference between stoneware and ceramic?
Stoneware is fired at higher temperatures (around 1200°C) and becomes denser and more impact-resistant than ordinary ceramic. It absorbs almost no liquid, handles temperature changes better and lasts longer in everyday use – which is why stoneware is a classic choice for coffee and tea cups.
How big is the Imogen cup, and does it suit both coffee and tea?
