Since the 1980s, Quail Ceramics has specialised in hand-painted animal figures from their studio in England. The labrador stands 9 cm tall in sturdy stoneware with a hollow for the egg on its back – the brushstrokes in the coat and the gaze vary from figure to figure. A piece of British ceramic tradition translated to the breakfast table, where craftsmanship meets the everyday ritual.
