This jug comes from Ceramiche F.L. Orgia, a family-run ceramic workshop in Sicily now operated by the second and third generations. Each jug is shaped from ceramic and hand-painted in shades of yellow and orange that give the pineapple a lifelike appearance. Its 25 cm height makes it suitable both as a water jug for the table and as a vase for larger bouquets. Dinna personally selected it during a visit to the workshop in Italy.
The hand-painting means the color tones vary slightly from jug to jug — no two are exactly alike. The ceramic withstands daily use for serving water, juice, or as a flower vase. The pineapple shape with detailed leaves and scale patterns is modeled after the real fruit.
Care and maintenance
Wash the jug by hand with mild soapy water. Avoid the dishwasher as the intense heat can wear down the hand-painting over time.
