Designed by Dutch brand &Klevering and hand-painted on stoneware, so every platter carries its own brushstrokes and small variations. The deep-blue glaze sits heavy and glossy beneath the red lobster, whose claws and antennae are drawn with fine, detailed lines. What is the difference between stoneware and porcelain?
Stoneware is fired at a lower temperature than porcelain and is typically heavier, more robust and finished with a matte-to-glossy glaze. Porcelain is finer and more translucent. Stoneware is particularly well suited to serving platters because it withstands daily use.
Is the seafood platter dishwasher-safe?
No — the platter is hand-painted, and the dishwasher can wear down the glaze and colours over time. Hand washing in lukewarm water with mild soap is recommended to keep the red lobster and deep-blue base crisp.
