Care and FAQ – Show less

Care and maintenance

Vacuum on the lowest setting. For stains: dab gently with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Wool is naturally dirt-resistant.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Frankie and the Burma tiger rug from Bongusta?

Both rugs share the same wool quality and are woven in the same way. The main difference is the colour palette: Burma has warm orange and brown tones, while Frankie has cool blue-grey tones with distinctive blue claws.

How do you care for a hand-woven wool rug?

Vacuum regularly on the lowest setting. Dab stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild soapy water – do not rub. Air the rug outdoors in the shade occasionally.

Can the Frankie tiger rug be hung as wall decoration?

Yes, the rug is heavy enough to hang well on a wall and works as a graphic alternative to a framed poster.

Does the rug slip on wooden floors?

The latex backing provides friction on hard floors. On very smooth floors we recommend an additional non-slip mat.

Where are Bongusta's tiger rugs produced?

The rugs are hand-woven in India to Bongusta's design. Slight variations between pieces are a natural part of the craft.
