Quail is a British ceramics studio founded in 1991, renowned for hand-painted animal figures in stoneware. Daisy and Lucky are shaped as two cats — one black, one white — serving as salt and pepper shakers. The stoneware is fired at high temperatures, making it durable for everyday use. Because each cat is hand-painted, color shades vary slightly from set to set. The holes on top are designed for precise seasoning dispensing.
The set is weighted to stand steadily on the table, even during lively meals. The black-and-white contrast makes it easy to distinguish salt from pepper — or you can swap the contents if you prefer the opposite. The stoneware is glazed, allowing for dishwasher cleaning without fading the colors.
