An LED pillar candle is the flameless version of a classic pillar candle: a short, thick cylinder with a flickering LED flame on top. Our LED pillar candles come from EJA, in the 15 x 8.8 cm format and in colourful combinations such as orange, pink and mint, green, violet and red, red, violet and light blue, blue, green and violet, and light blue, sand and mint. The last of these has a genuine wax surface with a built-in LED insert, while the material isn't specified on the product for the other colours. The pillar candles are battery-powered, and batteries aren't included.
LED taper candles
An LED taper candle looks like a tall, slim candle and is the closest match to a classic candlelit dinner or windowsill display. Rice is behind our LED taper candles, which stand 25 cm tall and are sold in sets of 2 in colour combinations such as coral and blue, pink and green, sand and blue, and mint and green. One of the sets is described as having a partly wax surface, so it feels like a real candle in the hand. If you prefer a real flame alongside it, take a look at our range of candles. Decorative LED candles and lamps
Alongside the classic pillar and taper candles, we carry a couple of LED candles that break the mould. The croissant with LED light from Kersten is cast in sandstone with a lifelike finish down to the layers of dough, measures 17.6 x 11.7 x 8 cm, and has a built-in LED light that casts a warm glow through the stone. Materials used in LED candles
LED candles combine a physical surface with a built-in LED light source. The surface material determines how lifelike the candle looks when it's switched off.
Genuine and partial wax
Several of the LED pillar and taper candles from EJA and Rice have a wax surface, so they look and feel like real candles even though the light source is an LED diode. EJA's LED pillar candles in light blue, sand and mint are described as having genuine wax with an LED insert, while Rice's LED taper candles in coral and blue have a partly wax surface.
Sandstone
The croissant with LED light from Kersten stands out with a surface cast in sandstone, where the colour shifts from light at the ends to darker along the back, mimicking the crust of a real croissant. The LED light sits inside and shines through the stone for a soft, warm glow.

EJA
EJA is a Danish brand focused on colourful interior details and LED light with a natural flame effect. EJA's LED pillar candles measure 15 x 8.8 cm and come in several colourful shades, from orange, pink and mint to blue, green and violet. Kersten
Kersten is a Dutch brand behind the croissant with built-in LED light and the Let's Party LED lamp.
