The kids' room is the one room in the house where you can really have fun with colors, shapes, and playful details. This is where imagination lives—and the decor should reflect that.
Start with the floor
A rug defines the space and provides warmth under bare feet. Animal-shaped rugs are popular for kids’ rooms—think tigers, leopards, crocodiles, and polar bears lying on the floor like a soft play mat. They’re handmade from wool and cotton and will withstand years of play.
For a slightly more subdued room, colorful rugs work well—they add color without dominating the space.
